17.06.2026 | Golden Spike Ostrava delivers a sold-out stadium, world stars and record-breaking performances
The jubilee 65th edition of Golden Spike Ostrava is now part of history. The traditional athletics meeting, one of the most important sporting events in the Czech Republic and part of the prestigious World Athletics Continental Tour Gold series, once again offered a spectacular show. A sold-out Municipal Stadium in Vítkovice witnessed battles between the Czech athletics elite and world-class stars, producing a number of outstanding performances and an unforgettable atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the evening was the men’s 150 metres. American sprinter Noah Lyles confirmed his status as one of the biggest figures in modern athletics, clocking 14.67 seconds — the fastest time ever recorded over the distance. South Africa’s Sinesipho Dambile finished second, while Australian teenage talent Gout Gout came third, once again showing why he is one of the most closely watched young sprinters in the world.
The home crowd also had plenty to celebrate thanks to Lurdes Gloria Manuel. The Czech 400-metre runner won her race in a personal best of 49.74 seconds, confirming her place among the absolute world elite. Ostrava also welcomed other major Czech names, including Jan Štefela, Amálie Švábíková, Karolína Maňasová and Tomáš Staněk.
Golden Spike Ostrava once again proved that it is not only a sporting event, but also a unique gathering of athletes, fans and partners. The jubilee edition brought packed stands, strong emotions, world-class performances and the atmosphere that has always been an essential part of the Ostrava meeting.
TK PLUS is proud to be part of an event that continues to represent Czech sport at the highest international level and brings the greatest names in athletics to the Czech Republic.
