13.02.2024 | We welcome Tomáš Macháč to the TK Agrofert Prostějov club
Tomáš Macháč, the second best Czech player, who also confirmed his excellent form at the beginning of this year, became the new player of TK Agrofert Prostějov. In the ATP world rankings, he has already reached the limit of the world's almost top sixty, and he is also performing brilliantly in doubles.

At the Australian Open, he advanced to the 3rd round in singles and the semi-finals in doubles. Then he played in the quarter-finals in Marseille, where he simultaneously won his first title on the ATP circuit in doubles. He also performed excellently in the Davis Cup and will be a great hope of the Prostejov club.

"It's great for the club and the Davis Cup team, which is now completely simple "Prostějov". It can be useful, for example, when training the players before the September matches of the group stage of the current season," remarked the Davis Cup captain and head coach of TK Agrofert Prostějov Jaroslav Navrátil.

Prostějov is the native club for Jiří Lehečka, Jakub Menšík, Vít Kopřiva and Adam Pavlásek. Tomáš Macháč joined this quartet and the national selection is thus under one head. "Tomáš is a great boy and will definitely be a great player. We are very happy that we can welcome him to our club," said Petra Černošková, head of Prostejov tennis projects.
