23.03.2026 | Prostějov Crowns Sports Kings of 2025: Tennis and Volleyball Stars Dominate the Gala
Friday evening, March 20, 2026, belonged to the best of the best at the National Sports Center Prostějov. The 21st edition of the "Prostějov Sportsman of the Year 2025" awards confirmed that the sporting heart of the Haná region continues to beat to the rhythm of world-class success.

The ceremonial gala was held in the presence of distinguished guests. Awards were presented by city representatives: 1st Deputy Mayor Milada Sokolová, Deputy Mayor Marcela Župková, and Deputy Mayors Jiří Rozehnal and Miloš Sklenka. The event was also supported by the Governor of the Olomouc Region, Ladislav Okleštěk, and the Mayor of the Slovak partner city Prešov, František Oľha.

Dominance of TK AGROFERT and VK Prostějov

The results of the poll once again demonstrated the strength of the clubs that have long represented the city on the international stage.

• Jiří Lehečka & Jakub Menšík: Our elite tennis players confirmed their world-class status and remain absolute pillars of Prostějov sports. Their results on the ATP Tour bring great prestige to Prostějov worldwide. (1st and 2nd place, Sportsman of the Year)

• Maxim Mrva: A rising star who soared in 2025, earning well-deserved recognition in the youth category. (1st place, Talent of the Year)

• VK Prostějov: Our volleyball players proved once again that they belong among the domestic elite, showcasing exemplary team spirit. (1st place, Team of the Year)

• Miroslav Čada: A legend without whom we cannot imagine Prostějov volleyball. The award for this master strategist was one of the emotional highlights of the evening. (Coach of the Year)

• TK AGROFERT Prostějov: As a club, it reaffirmed its role as the best tennis center in the country, capable of generating champions across generations. (1st place, Youth Team of the Year)

• Karel Nováček (tennis): Inducted into the PROSTĚJOV SPORTS HALL OF FAME 2025.
